Top 30 Crypto Platforms — What They Do With AI

Top 30 Crypto Platforms — What They Do With AI (May 2026)

Companion to: TOP_30_CRYPTO_PLATFORMS.md Scope: Same 30 platforms, focused on their AI integrations as of May 2026. Why this matters for Nextino: These are the AI patterns proven at scale. The ones absent (e.g., direct entry/SL/TP “buy signals”) are conspicuous by their absence — that’s a positioning signal you should weigh before building anything in that direction.

Detailed walkthrough — what each platform actually ships

1. Binance — binance.com

AI live: - Trading Bots Hub — AI-driven grid + DCA bot strategy recommendations based on volatility regime - Binance Square AI — feed summarizer + AI-tagged signals on their social platform - Binance Academy AI tutor — Q&A interface for crypto learning content - Risk/AML AI — internal fraud + market-manipulation detection (not user-facing)

Tech stack: Mostly proprietary models for trading bots; OpenAI/Claude likely for chat features.

Why AI for them: With 250M users, AI drives retention + new-user education + bot adoption (bots = higher trading volume = more fees).

2. Coinbase — coinbase.com

AI live: - Coinbase Learn AI tutor — answers user questions about crypto concepts, integrated into Earn quizzes - Coinbase Onchain Agent — AI agent that performs on-chain actions on Base. Say “swap $100 USDC for ETH” and the agent executes. - AI-powered support chatbot — handles 60%+ of customer support tickets - Risk + fraud AI — internal

Tech stack: Onchain Agent built on OpenAI; uses Coinbase Smart Wallet.

Why AI for them: Onchain Agent is Coinbase’s bet on agentic crypto — the future where AIs hold wallets and trade autonomously.

3. OKX — okx.com

AI live: - AI Indicator — automated TA signals on their charts - AI-translated news — auto-translates news headlines into 18 languages (no Persian) - OKX Web3 AI assistant — chat assistant for wallet/DEX questions

4. Bybit — bybit.com

AI live: - TradeGPT — flagship AI chat assistant for market questions, trade ideas, education - AI Daily Reports — auto-generated daily summaries - Bybit Copilot — chat assistant inside the trading interface

Why AI for them: Bybit positions as the “trader’s exchange” — AI fits the analytical-power-user persona.

5. Crypto.com — crypto.com

AI live: - Crypto.com AI (branded “Amy”) — chat assistant in the app for portfolio questions, market info, transaction help - AI-powered card insights — analyzes CRO card spending patterns

6. Kraken — kraken.com

AI live: - AI-augmented support — chatbot handling routine inquiries - Kraken Intelligence reports — analyst-led, AI-assisted in production (not user-facing AI)

Why thin AI presence: Kraken’s brand is “regulated, trustworthy, conservative.” They’ve intentionally avoided being on the AI-hype wave to maintain that positioning. They’ll likely add more AI gradually + carefully — opposite of Bybit’s aggressive AI marketing.

7. Bitget — bitget.com

AI live: - Bitget AI Insights — chart-overlay AI signals on their pro trading screen - AI-curated copy-trade leaderboards — ML ranks lead traders by risk-adjusted returns, not just raw P&L - AI customer support chatbot

Why AI matters here: Copy-trading is Bitget’s flagship, and AI curation is how they differentiate from rivals (3Commas, Cryptohopper) — better ranking = more follower money = more commission.

8. Uniswap — uniswap.org

AI: None native. The Uniswap protocol is just smart contracts — AI happens at the integration layer (third-party aggregators like 1inch use AI for route optimization).

Why no AI: Protocols don’t ship UX — wallets and aggregators do. Uniswap Labs is positioned as infrastructure, not a product company.

9. Aave — aave.com

AI: None native. Same logic as Uniswap — the protocol is contracts; the UI is intentionally minimal.

10. Lido — lido.fi

AI: None native. Same.

11. Tether — tether.to

AI: None publicly. Internal compliance/sanctions screening AI is widely assumed but not disclosed.

Why thin AI: Tether’s value is regulatory positioning + reserve management. AI doesn’t fit the product (stablecoin issuance).

12. CoinMarketCap — coinmarketcap.com ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for AI relevance

AI live: - AI Token Page Summarizer — every coin page has an AI-generated summary at the top - AI News Recap — daily/weekly AI digest - AI Watchlist Insights — analyzes your watchlist and surfaces what’s moving + why - Token Page Q&A — ask questions about a specific coin

Tech stack: Custom + OpenAI. Owned by Binance, leverages Binance research data.

Why AI for them: With 300M monthly visits, AI summaries massively improve engagement on the long tail of less-known coins.

13. CoinGecko — coingecko.com

AI live: - GeckoAI — research Q&A (beta as of May 2026, lags CMC’s depth) - AI-tagged sectors — categorizes new tokens automatically

Why light AI: CoinGecko’s positioning is “objective data, less editorialization” — AI used sparingly to preserve neutrality.

14. TradingView — tradingview.com

AI live: - AI Script Generator — describe an indicator in English, get Pine Script code - AI Heatmap — auto-categorizes market conditions - “Idea AI” — suggests related ideas/scripts based on what you’re looking at - AI-tagged educational content — recommends learning content based on your charting behavior

Why AI for them: Pine Script’s learning curve is steep; AI script-gen unlocks the platform for non-developers — a moat-strengthener.

15. Etherscan — etherscan.io

AI live: - Etherscan AI — summarizes smart contract code in plain English - Token Analyzer — AI-flagged suspicious tokens (rug-pull indicators) - AI-powered address labeling — automatically tags wallets based on behavior patterns

16. DefiLlama — defillama.com

AI live: - LlamaAI (beta) — natural-language Q&A across DeFi TVL data: “What protocol grew fastest in Solana last month?” - AI-generated protocol summaries — auto-written one-paragraph descriptions per protocol

17. CoinDesk — coindesk.com

AI live: - CoinDesk Markets AI Search — semantic search over their archive - AI article summarizer — TL;DR on every article - AI-generated podcast transcripts - Consensus AI Agenda — recommends sessions at their conference

18. Cointelegraph — cointelegraph.com

AI live: - AI summaries on Cointelegraph Markets Pro (premium tier) - Auto-translation to 8 languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French, German — no Persian)

Iran note: Deliberately omits Persian translation despite covering 8 other languages — another data point on the Persian-vacuum opportunity.

19. The Block — theblock.co

AI live: - Research Dashboards with AI Q&A — ask questions about their proprietary datasets - AI-augmented Newsroom workflow — used internally to speed up reporting

Tech stack: Likely Anthropic Claude for Pro features (they’ve spoken publicly about Claude usage).

20. Messari — messari.io 🤖 3 — THE benchmark for crypto AI

AI live: - Messari Copilot — flagship. AI research assistant with access to Messari’s curated crypto knowledge graph + price + governance + news. Answers cite-sourced questions like “What are the biggest risks to Lido in the next 6 months?” with linked sources. - AI Research Reports — auto-generated weekly reports per token - x402 Micropayments — pay-per-Copilot-request via USDC on Base (no account needed). Anyone can pay 0.5 USDC to ask Copilot one question.

Tech stack: Built on Claude (Anthropic) with retrieval augmentation against their proprietary knowledge graph.

Why this matters for Nextino: Messari Copilot is the single closest analog to what Nextino’s AI Q&A should be — but Persian + Iran-native + Bale-delivered.

21. Nansen — nansen.ai 🤖 3

AI live: - Nansen AI — chat interface over Nansen’s on-chain data: “Which Smart Money wallets are accumulating $TIA this week?” - AI-generated Smart Alert summaries — when whales move, the alert message is AI-written, explaining context - AI wallet labeling — extends their 100k+ labeled wallets via ML classification

22. Glassnode — glassnode.com

AI live: - AI-generated Indicator Reports — explains what each on-chain indicator is telling you - AI Alerts — natural-language alerts: “BTC SOPR just crossed 1.0 — sellers turning profitable” - Glassnode Pulse AI — daily synthesized signal from 50+ indicators

23. Sentora — sentora.io

AI live: - Sentora AI — chat over IntoTheBlock’s traffic-light indicators - AI-generated daily market briefs

24. Whale Alert — whale-alert.io

AI live: - AI transaction classification — automatically tags transactions as exchange/whale/contract/mining-pool - AI exchange-flow narratives — converts raw flow data into one-line narratives for tweets

25. LunarCrush — lunarcrush.com 🤖 3 — The LLM-native pivot

AI live: - LunarCrush Co-Pilot — chat interface over their social + market data - LunarCrush MCP Server — exposes their entire data API via the Model Context Protocol so any LLM (Claude, GPT, etc.) can pull LunarCrush data natively. First major crypto platform to ship an MCP server. - AI-narrated daily videos — auto-generated YouTube videos summarizing top movers

Why this matters: They saw the writing on the wall — Yaps (their social-incentive program) died when X revoked API access. So they pivoted to be the data layer for AI agents instead of a consumer product. Smart pivot.

26. Kaito — kaito.ai 🤖 3 — AI-search-as-product

AI live: - Kaito Studio — AI search engine indexing thousands of crypto sources (X, podcasts, governance forums, conference videos, GitHub issues, on-chain proposals) with semantic retrieval + LLM answers - Mindshare Arena — AI-ranked attention scores per token across all monitored channels - Kaito Connect — AI-suggested KOL matches for projects looking for promoters

27. MetaMask — metamask.io

AI live: - Fraud detection — internal AI flags suspicious transactions before signing - AI integrated via Snaps — third-party developers can build AI-powered Snaps (e.g., Phi Network’s AI portfolio Snap) - AI-suggested gas optimization — recommends ideal gas prices based on chain conditions

28. Phantom — phantom.app

AI live: - Scam-token warnings — ML model flags newly-launched suspicious tokens before users approve transactions - AI dApp recommendations — surfaces relevant Solana dApps based on wallet activity - AI-summarized swap routes — explains “why this route is best” in plain English

29. Trust Wallet — trustwallet.com

AI live: - AI scam-detection in dApp browser — warns before user signs a malicious transaction - AI-suggested token discovery — uses Binance ecosystem data to recommend trending tokens

30. Ledger — ledger.com

AI live: - AI-translated firmware docs — multi-language support documentation - Ledger Live AI assistant (beta as of 2026) — help with device setup, transaction explanations, security tips

Why thin AI: Ledger’s value prop is offline, secure storage — AI is incompatible with that ethos (an AI in your wallet ≠ self-custody). They’ll only add AI where it doesn’t compromise security messaging.

Patterns — what AI is doing across the top 30

The 8 AI jobs we see, ranked by frequency

Job Platforms doing it Examples
Risk/scam detection (background) 20/30 Tether AML, MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet, exchange fraud AI
AI summarization of news/data 18/30 CMC token pages, CoinDesk article TL;DRs, Glassnode reports
AI Q&A / chat assistant 14/30 Messari Copilot, Nansen AI, TradeGPT, GeckoAI, Crypto.com Amy
AI-generated daily briefs/reports 10/30 Glassnode Pulse, Bybit Daily Reports, LunarCrush videos
AI-augmented search (semantic) 6/30 Kaito Studio, Messari, CoinDesk Markets, LunarCrush, The Block, DefiLlama
AI-translated content 5/30 OKX (18 languages!), Cointelegraph (8 langs — no Persian), CMC, Coinbase, Ledger
AI signal generation (trade calls) 4/30 OKX AI Indicator, Binance Bots Hub, Bybit TradeGPT, Bitget AI Insights
AI-powered agents (act, not just answer) 2/30 Coinbase Onchain Agent, MetaMask Snaps
AI MCP server (data-for-other-AIs) 1/30 LunarCrush (first mover — possible category formation)

Key observations

Observation 1 — Summarization + Q&A dominate. AI’s job in most platforms is to help users understand data, not tell them what to trade. Even Messari and Nansen — the most respected analytics platforms — focus AI on research, not signals.

Observation 2 — Only 4 of 30 platforms ship direct AI trade signals, and all 4 are exchanges (OKX, Binance, Bybit, Bitget). They can afford to because user trading = their revenue. No pure-research or analytics platform on this list gives direct entry/SL/TP signals. They all stop at “stance + analysis + alerts.”

Observation 3 — Persian is absent from ALL multilingual offerings. Cointelegraph translates to 8 languages, OKX to 18 — Persian on neither. This is the moat.

Observation 4 — Agentic AI (Coinbase, MetaMask Snaps) is real but early. Both are infrastructure plays — they’re letting agents do things, not telling users what to do. Nextino is too small to build the agent layer; better to be the intelligence layer that informs user decisions.

Observation 5 — Wallets are deliberately AI-light. MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet, Ledger all stop at security/scam-detection AI. They explicitly avoid recommendation/trading AI because it conflicts with the self-custody trust promise (“we don’t tell you what to do — you decide”).

Observation 6 — Protocols (Uniswap, Aave, Lido) ship zero AI. AI is a UX layer, and protocols don’t own UX — third-party front-ends do. This is the right model: the protocol is permissionless infrastructure, the UX layer competes on AI.

What Nextino can learn from this list

Patterns to copy

  1. Q&A chat is the dominant AI feature in the respected platforms. Messari Copilot, Nansen AI, Kaito Studio — all leaders ship chat as their AI flagship. Nextino’s analysis path already does this; double down.

  2. AI summarization on long-tail content. CMC summarizes 10,000 coins. Nextino could summarize the top 100 coins per Iranian retail interest weekly. Cheap, sticky, broadens coverage without proportional Claude spend.

  3. MCP servers as a new distribution channel. LunarCrush’s pivot is telling — AI agents will be heavy data consumers. Once Nextino has Persian-context data (sentiment, news, prices, Toman markets), expose it as an MCP server. Future B2B revenue line.

  4. AI-explained alerts. Glassnode’s “BTC SOPR just crossed 1.0 — sellers turning profitable” is way better than the raw signal. Nextino’s price/volume alerts could include a 1-line AI explanation.

  5. AI scam-detection (from wallets) — Iranian users are heavily targeted by scams. A “🛡 سلامت توکن” check before adding any coin to watchlist would be valuable + cheap.

Patterns to AVOID

  1. Direct AI trade signals to all users. Only the 4 exchanges with skin in the game do this. For a research platform, public direct signals = liability + signal-channel category. Lean toward stance + analysis + alerts, NOT explicit entry/SL/TP shown to every user.

  2. AI-generated content that crowds out real voice. Cointelegraph has gotten flak for AI-spamming. Use AI to augment, not replace.

  3. Token-gating AI access. Kaito’s $KAITO + Token Metrics’ $TMAI — Iranian users can’t buy these tokens easily. Stay subscription-based.

  4. Trying to build the agent layer. Coinbase has 100M users + a custodial setup that lets agents work. Nextino doesn’t have that distribution. Stay in the intelligence layer.

Where the gap is — the Nextino opportunity

No platform on this list does ALL of these together:

That combination is the moat. The top 30 are English-first, web-first, US-hosted, payment-blocked-from-Iran. Nextino’s wedge is being the one platform delivering equivalent value to Iranian retail in their own context, on the platform they already use (Bale + Telegram), at a price they can pay (Toman).
